The surroundings
Sonnenwiese sits on the edge of Maria Alm, one of the prettiest villages of Salzburgerland — worth visiting all year round.
Maria Alm
An authentic Austrian mountain village with a charming centre: shops, restaurants and cafés a 10-minute walk from the apartment. The famous church with its tall spire is the heart of the village.

Winter: Hochkönig ski area
Maria Alm is part of the Hochkönig ski area, part of Ski Amadé: 150 kilometres of slopes for all levels. The nearest ski lift is a 5-minute drive and the ski bus stops 300 metres from the house. Cross-country skiing, tobogganing and winter hiking are also plentiful.
Summer: hiking and mountains
In summer Maria Alm is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. From gentle walks through the meadows to serious mountain hikes in the Hochkönig massif — you step straight from the house into nature. In summer, cable cars take you up without the climb, too.
